While I Saw You Cry
While I saw you cry
I saw the tears upon your face
A look of pain and heartbreak
No flower can replace
While I saw you cry
I felt the pain of lies; despair
You felt so alone in this world of many
Who were they to care
While I saw you cry
My own heart broke in two
When those who smile betray
You feel there’s nothing you can do
When at last I saw you smile
I felt my own spirit rise that day
To see love return to those how’ve fallen
Makes your friendship all the while
Limes in My Lemonade
Limes in my lemonade
What a glorious cascade
Never met a melon rind
Yet my hearts feeling fine
Feeling the music of the street
And a popping song in my feet
Spending my days in the pie of life
Waiting to break free with loves knife
There’s a girl that makes my heart twirl
The oyster that contains my pearl
From one thing to another
She a person like no other
Fills my mind with a red rose
Something special I suppose
She calls me infinite field
For each rose that I yield
Porch days and sun rays
Limes in my lemonade
What a delicious parade
Nothing touches my heart
Apart from the jade eyes
That stare into my soul
And like that take control
Of my bright life source
And put my sense back on course
True Colors in Season
Summer
Thus begins a hiatus from enduring trials
An enlightening time from a constant watch
Slips in is a false sense of self awareness
To be so naive in a time of peace is pure neglect
Summer itself never stood still against time
Heat endures, life endures, we endure
This time is a trying one for us all
Summer stands still
Fall
Temperatures settle down for only a few
Trees release their kin in unknown waves
Such a release of the years past loses and gains
Laughter, sadness, remorse, doubt, deceit
All fall one by one on a ground lifeless
As they themselves fade into a silent void
This a time of repentance and reflection
Fall stands still
Winter
Bare are the trees and flowers of yesteryear
As the moon shines, all emotion has faded away
Cold faces look upon the barren land
Within this void there is a hope to be discovered
Snow covers our mistakes, our faults, and our pain
All stay silent in this arctic, frozen world
This is a time of solitude and peace
Winter stands still
Spring
A sense of revival dawns upon the trees
All of yesterday is forgotten and lost
Each branch brings new life and ideas alive
Prosperity and slight euphoria reign through the land
Each breath is pure and free of constant doubt
Each waking moment is a chance for loving freedom
This is a time of rebirth, revival, and reanimation
Spring walks on
Midnight Healing
Late walks among empty streets
Coastal Beaches, Open river valleys
Revealed self reflection and weakness
Judgment to be sought; understood
Moonbeams float onto the water
Like a soft silver swan in radiance
Inner thoughts fight to break free
Silence coincides with the moment
Shadows allow for an easy release
Memories of right and corruption
Trouble stirs in silent pools of wonder
Paralyzed while fighting to release
The pain; anguish felt in my heart
Beneath this lock lies minute hope
The moon wants peaceful conclusion
A struggle begins with my past
And a longing for the future
Time sits squarely in between
One thought surfaces from the wounds
Love severed from its roots
Years of heartache burst from within
With each tear that struck the water
A feeling was released that would heal
Healing was right; needed for peace
After moments my hurt was gone
The moon danced on healing waters
For the first time in the light of darkness
I was able to breath in open silence
This change has made all the difference
Elemental Destruction Part 4: Air
Around you lay a mystic force
Invisible to you, your life source
Like poison it’s here and everywhere
When it’s tampered with it causes a scare
No escaping this spell; lofty theft
Without this gas, there’s nothing left
Tornadoes touch down on solid ground
Throwing life, liberty, and hope around
The air that you breathe, your savior at first
‘Till fate and pain took a turn for the worst
Hot and cold; its does more than you think
Makes airplanes fly or a simple ship sink
The weather plays into its simple plan
To deceive, destroy this faithful land
Don’t deny this matter; just succumb
The end of you will be quick and numb
Elemental Destruction Part 3: Earth
The ground beneath is one silent lie
Seems solid at first, still you ask why
One single snap and eruption begins
Didn’t expect these violent ends
Rocks and trees; simple weapons you see
Is Mother Nature scorn; angry with me
No savior from grace; no means of escape
Brace yourself because here comes the rape
Stripping you of all hope and grace
Left to suffer in the death of this place
Mountains fall and oceans bubble
Looks like no dice; you are in trouble
Prepare for the fall of the ground beneath
No drawing your sword out of its sheath
No escape, haven, or standing grace
To save you from earth’s solemn face
Elemental Destruction Part 2: Fire
Destruction contained within a seal
To burst abruptly is very ideal
Burning passion simple at first
We can’t escape; have we been cursed
Times running out, what can we do
Fire is wild, loose and taboo
A savior from the increasing cold
Would going near be so bold
Scorching hot burning to see
The pain of you and the pain of me
It won’t take long for this fire to spread
Until the hope of mankind is dead
Fire will soon bring us to our knees
No sobbing, begging, or asking please
Accept the ends and learn to cope
With lose of reality; you’re on the ropes
Elemental Destruction Part 1: Water
Creeping misty air walks by
Telling stories lie by lie
Water running in the shower
Minute by minute increasing power
Ice is here and mist is there
Water has power set everywhere
The seed of vitality; the root of life
Can heal in a second or kill like a knife
Spiritual calming or another ruse
Or maybe a stunt to hurt and abuse
Keep thinking that you’re safe in your head
Or alone in your room asleep in your bed
The wave is coming and coming fast
Our safety is minute; it will never last
Aquatic destruction is soon to crash
It starts out softly with one little splash
